Newborn FAQs

Why choose Evermore for your newborn photography?

When you choose Evermore you are choosing me, Gina, a mother of three. As a mum I know what it’s like to have a new baby and I have a knack with settling babies. I take my time and make sure I know exactly what sort of photos you would like and that your session is relaxed and stress-free for everyone.

When should I book my newborn session?

It’s best to book as soon as you decide you would like newborn photography, even if your baby is not due for several months, as I only take a limited number of bookings per month. I will pop your due date into my diary as a placeholder and once baby arrives we’ll adjust the appointment to suit.

What is the best age for Newborn Photography?

The best time for a newborn shoot is between 2 – 3 weeks when your baby is asleep more than they are awake and happy to be molded into those cute curled up poses. This is not to say that we can’t get them to sleep if they are older, we certainly can try our best, however an older baby is more alert and might just take a little longer to get off to sleep. For babies older than 4 weeks we can still achieve beautiful images but some poses will not be possible if they are not sleepy.

What about older babies?

For babies older than six weeks we can still take beautiful photographs, they just won’t be as sleepy.

My baby’s skin is quite spotty, will this affect the photos?

Please don’t be worried about your baby’s skin. Almost all the babies I photograph have to have blemishes removed if that’s what you would like.
