Booking your wedding photographer for your special day in Kerikeri or Northland is a crucial step in ensuring your cherished memories are captured in the best possible way. It’s essential to find someone who has the right skillset, experience, and most importantly, someone you feel comfortable with. To make things easier for you, I have created a simple guide on how to book your wedding photography.

How to book your wedding photography

The first step is to get in touch with me either via call or text to check my availability for your wedding date. Once we have confirmed that I am available on your wedding day, we can then arrange a coffee meet-up. This meeting is an excellent opportunity to view some of my printed work, get to know me, and see if our personalities gel well with your bridal party. It’s crucial to ensure you like your photographer as much as the photos, as you’ll be spending a significant amount of time with them on your big day.

After our meeting, you can choose to book my services by signing a contract and paying a $500 booking fee to secure your date. As your wedding approaches, I will require a detailed day plan which we can work on together. I will also need a group shot list to ensure we capture all the essential family photos after the ceremony.

If you have any other concerns or want to finalise the day plan before your wedding, we can meet up again or have a phone or email consultation. My goal is to ensure your wedding photography experience is stress-free and enjoyable.

Booking from overseas

For those getting married overseas or out of town, I offer an easy booking process. We can have a meeting via Zoom, phone, or email. I have experience with overseas weddings and know how to ensure that the planning process is seamless.

After the wedding

After your big day, I will work hard to get you a sneak peek online within the first few weeks, either in the form of a blog or Facebook/Instagram post. This is something you can share freely with friends and family. The turnaround time for your wedding photos is five weeks, and during this time, you will receive an online gallery of your wedding images. You can also discuss albums and prints, and I can help you create a custom album that includes your favourite images.

Second shooters

For those looking for a second wedding photographer, I offer this service as an optional extra. A second photographer can capture alternative viewpoints and provide additional perspectives, making your photographic collection even more comprehensive. For instance, I usually capture the bride as she walks down the aisle, while a second photographer can capture the groom’s reaction from a different viewpoint.

I’m based in Kerikeri, but my services are available throughout Northland, as well as the rest of New Zealand. I have 11 years of experience as a wedding photographer and have covered a variety of settings, from private church weddings to outdoor vineyard ceremonies. I’m great at thinking on my feet and can cater to every situation, rain or shine, to capture beautiful images for you to treasure.
